What I learned: Meditation Cards

Or The Tarot, Tarot plus. Oracle cards. Yes, I use these. I also use motivation cards, thought of the day cards, almost any type card.

Why?

Has your mind ever beeen so full you can’t focus? Mine has for sure, multiple times. These type of cards give me a direction to focus upon. Strangely, somedays they even match what’s going through my head at that moment. Okay, we can call that coincidence, reading into the moment.

All I know is they work for me. I’m not trying to tell my future; find reasons to blame, I find them interesting in that they allow me to connect with myself more than simple journey writing.

Besides reminders, they give me something to direct my attention on and be quiet and calm at the same time. Meditation, I haven’t mastered; haven’t come close, but shuffling cards and flipping one over, that I can master.

Every morning I send a thought out to the universe, something like a wish and that one word I use with my cards. After I shuffle, I’ll count out each letter of the word and then flip the next card as being me, funny how sometimes the same card will show up days in a row.
